Itinerary
Upon arrival you will be transferred to the city of Antigua, Guatemala, one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Central America, and a witness to the grandeur of colonial Spain with its cobblestone streets and beautiful buildings of classical architecture. The city of Antigua is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Overnight in Antigua at El Convento Hotel.
After breakfast, we’ll start a city -tour in the charming city of Antigua, which was the colonial capital of Spain. We will have a brief but captivating city tour, during which you will learn about its history and enjoy the beauty of the city. Then, we continue our excursion to Chichicastenango, where we will immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the largest market in Central America, with its mystique and the spirit of the ancient Maya people. After the tour, we will be transferred to Atitlan and accommodate at Casa Palopo hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, at 08:00 we’ll take a guided excursion to Lake Atitlan. During the boat tour, we will visit two indigenous villages located on the shores of the lake. We will also explore Santiago de Atitlan and San Pedro. Throughout the tour, you will get acquainted with local customs and traditions passed down from generation to generation, and you will enjoy magnificent views of the lake.
Lake Atitlan, located within the crater of an extinct volcano, attracts tourists from around the world with its breathtaking beauty against the backdrop of the basalt slopes of the crater covered with tropical vegetation. Sometimes Lake Atitlan is called Gringotenango which means the territory of foreigners. Although the town cannot boast its colonial architecture, the most vibrant place in town is the colorful market, where not only food items but also products from local artisans and industrial goods are sold. We will then go to the Westin Camino Real Hotel in Guatemala City.
After breakfast at 8:00 AM, we check out from the hotel and head to the border of Honduras, to the enchanting colonial town of Copan. We will transfer to a hotel overlooking Central Square in the charming town of Copan. At 2:30 PM, we begin the tour of the main archaeological site in Copan, which includes the Acropolis, the ball court, the hieroglyphic staircase, the magnificent plaza, and the Maya Sculpture Museum, recognized by experts as a unique Maya sculpture collection in the world. In the museum, you can see a masterpiece – an exact replica of the famous Rosalila Temple discovered in 1989. After the tour, you will have free time to spend at the luxurious hotel or explore the charming town of Copan, and visit numerous shops, restaurants, and cozy sidewalk cafes.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your guide in the hotel and depart for an excursion with a stop in Quirigua. Here, we will have the opportunity to explore the largest Maya stela. Overnight at the Katamaran hotel.
After breakfast, you will have a cruise along the Rio Dulce River, where you can discover the local flora and fauna. As we approach the Caribbean coast, we will sail through the impressive Rio Dulce Canyon. Then, we continue to Flores, the capital of the Peten region (duration: 3 hours). On the way, we will stop for lunch. In the evening, we arrive in Flores.

In Flores, we’ll have a visit to the remarkable archaeological site of Yaxha and Topoxte. After the tour, we will go back to Bolontiku hotel.
The day begins with a visit to the Tikal archaeological complex, where you will immerse yourself in the world of the Maya and uncover the mysteries of its ancient ruins. After the tour, you will leave this place with unforgettable impressions of this historical treasure and the stunning photos that you captured at Tikal.

Transfer from Flores to the city of Belize, where you will embark on an exciting cave kayaking adventure. Explore the cave system and enjoy the unique experience of kayaking in the mysterious depths of the cave. After the activity, transfer to the city of Belize, and then you will take a scenic boat ride to the beautiful Ambergris Caye island.

After breakfast, we will have an exhilarating experience swimming with sharks. Discover the incredible underwater world of Belize and get up close with these creatures.
